Super Loto game rules

  Super Loto - an electrifying game offering enormous minimum jackpots of UAH 10,000,000!
  A national, numerical lottery, Super Loto provides the opportunity to make your dreams come true for just 1, 2 or 3 UAH.
  Easy to play! Simply fill out a playslip by selecting your stake amount (from the three options), then mark six numbers, out of the possible fifty four, on one or more game panels (see information below).
  Draws are held twice a week - each Wednesday and Saturday. They are televised on channel UT-1.
  There are fifty-four balls numbered 1 to 54. Of these, the draw machine randomly selects six "winning" balls, plus one supplementary "bonus" ball. To win a prize, you need to match at least three winning numbers. The more numbers you match, the greater your prize.

The bonus ball provides the opportunity to win a second category prize - for 5 matched numbers plus an additional seventh ball. For matching six numbers you win the first category prize - the Jackpot.

How and where to play?

   Play Super Loto at any accredited retailer, identified by the "Play Here" sign. There you will find a Super Loto playslip (available for free), ready for you to complete.

  Super Loto can also be played online via the third party website of www.shans.ua.

  Super Loto gaming is available every day from 7:30 to 21:00, according to the opening hours of the retailer.

  To participate in a draw you should mark up a playslip. All marks should be made in horizontal lines in black or dark colours.

Cost of a game variant

   When filling in the playslip, start by choosing the money amount you wish to play - your "stake" on each basic combination played. In first section there are three windows indicating the cost of a game variant. Select one of three stake amounts - [ 1 ],[ 2 ] or [ 3 ] UAH.

  The prize you may potentially win depends on the amount you stake as seen in the table above.

  If you desire to play several combinations, making different stakes for them - please use separate play-slips

Game panels

   A Super Loto playslip consists of 6 game panels. Mark 6 numbers from the possible 54 in one or more of these panels. You can select a different combination of numbers on each game panel. You decide how many combinations will participate in the draw.

  Alternatively, you may mark the [AUTO] box (located at the bottom of a play panel) for the computer to randomly select a combination for you.

  Each combination costs 1, 2 or 3 UAH (depending on you choice).

Mistakes

If you make an error in marking up a play panel, just mark the [NO] box on that panel. The terminal will then not take this panel into account during the play-slip processing.

You may continue marking your numbers on the other panels.

Consecutive draws

   You may take part in one, or up to ten consecutive draws.
  To do so, mark the number of draws you want to take part in at the foot of the playslip.
  If you desire to participate in only one draw, simply ignore this section.

  The price of your play will depend on the number of draws in which you want to participate. For example, you chose 2 number combinations, to take part in 5 consecutive draws, with the stake amount 3 UAH, it will cost 2 x 5 x 3 = 30 UAH.

System game

  You can boost your chances of winning by paying a "system" game.

  In a system game your entry consists of combinations of 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 or even 12 numbers, rather than the typical six!

  All the different combinations of numbers that can be built from the numbers you choose will participate in the draw.

Should you decide to play the system game you may use ONLY THE FIRST GAME PANEL on the playslip. The terminal will not accept play-slips on which a system game is combined with plays in several game panels.

   Give your completed playslip to the agent operating the terminal.
  They will insert the playslip into the terminal to register your play and print your ticket.

  Verify that the information printed on the ticket corresponds with the information you have on the playslip. Sign your ticket at the backside.

A TICKET IS THE ONLY PROOF OF YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE DRAW, AND THE BASIS FOR YOUR PRIZE CLAIM

Ticket

A ticket contains the following information:

1 Overall information. May contains the word "AUTO" and/or "renew ticket'. If you have all AUTO combinations the word "AUTO" appears on the ticket. Otherwise you will have the corresponding mark before the AUTO combination. The mark "renew ticket" appears when you get the ticket back after receiving your prize to take part in the rest of consecutive draws.
2 Date and time of sale.
3 Number of the consequent draws the ticket will take part in.
4 Interval of the draws.
5 Play amount
6 Number combinations played.
7 Total cost of the ticket.
8 Terminal number where ticket was sold. Ticket number and other coded information.

Winnings

  Super Loto draws are held under the supervision of the draw panel, which consists representatives of the public, the Ministry of Finance, and an independent audit company. The draw panel confirms the correctness of the draw procedure according to the official protocol. Draws are broadcast on Wednesday and Saturday at 22:50 on television channel UT-1.

  The draw machine is loaded with 54 balls. During the draw 6 balls, plus an additional seventh ball are drawn.

  You win if you match correctly 3 or more numbers in one combination. The more numbers you match, the bigger your prize. If you match 6 numbers you become a Jackpot winner. If nobody matches 6 numbers, the Jackpot prize fund is rolled over to the next draw, thus increasing the Jackpot.

  You can check your ticket at any UNL terminal by asking the terminal operator. If your ticket is a winning one, the terminal will play music and print two checks.

Prize amount

You prize depends on your bet amount.
If you match 3, 4 or 5 numbers you have a fixed prize. If you match 5 numbers and the additional "bonus" ball - your prize is multiplied by 100. The first category prize (Jackpot) depends on quantity of people who matched 6 numbers in one draw.

A single total jackpot consists of the three "pools'.

  Jackpot pools are divided between all the players who matched 6 numbers in such a way:
  25% equally divided between all who match 6 numbers and stake 1UAH, 2UAH, 3UAH.
  25% equally divided between all who match 6 numbers and stake 2UAH and 3UAH.
  50% equally divided between all who match 6 numbers and stake 3UAH.

Where to claim your prize

  All prizes can be claimed the day after the draw, and must be claimed within 180 days of the draw.
  Prizes 500 UAH or less can be received at any UNL sales point. For information about which sales points can pay out prizes of more than 500 UAH, refer to the [UNL:points of sales] page.
  At any UNL branch office you can receive prizes below 25 000 UAH.
  Prizes over 25 000 UAH can only be paid at the UNL head office in Kiev.

Lotto History

Scholars disagree on who started the ancient tradition of lotteries, but there are references in the Bible. In Chapter 26 in the Book of Numbers, Moses used a lottery to award land west of the River Jordan.
c. 100-44 B. C.: Forms of lotteries date back to Caesar.
100 BC: The Hun Dynasty in China created keno. Funds raised by lotteries were used for defense, primarily to finance construction of the Great Wall of China.
1446: In one of the first recorded European lotteries, the widow of the Flemish painter Jan Van Eyck holds a raffle to dispose of his remaining paintings.
1465: Lotteries were held in Belgium to build chapels, almshouses, canals and port facilities.
1515: Six names were drawn for election to the Senate in Genoa, Italy; later the names were changed to numbers. The word "lottery" is believed to come from the Italian word "lotto", meaning destiny or fate.
1530: Florence, Italy held a "Number Lottery" with cash prizes.
1539: King Francis I of France authorized a lottery to replenish depleted funds in the treasury. Many of these funds had been flowing to foreign lotteries.
1567: Queen Elizabeth I establishes the first English state lottery. Prizes include cash, plate, and tapestry, with 400,000 tickets offered for sale.
1612: King James I of England, by royal decree, created a lottery in London. The proceeds were used to aid the first British colony in America - Jamestown, Virginia. Interestingly, Anglican churches held two of three winning tickets for the first draw.
1759: At the urging of Casanova, Louis XV founded the Loterie Royale of the Military School (later on Saint-Cyr) in France. With the advent of this lottery, other lotteries were outlawed and the funds were to be used to reduce the State's debts. The King thus created a monopoly, which became the forerunner of the Loterie Nationale. The lottery was a keno-style game where players chose to bet on 1,2,3,4, or 5 numbers between 1 and 90.

2001: UNL has started Super Loto in Ukraine. Prizes reach from 5 UAH to several millions UAH.

Jackpot consists of three portions that are equally divided between winners.
Lets designate all who match 6 numers as:

If 6 numbers matched by only one player with wager amount of 2UAH.
His prize:
25%/(0+1+0)+25%/(1+0) = 50% = 5 000 000UAH.

If 6 numbers matched by only one player with wager amount of 1UAH.
His prize:
25%/(1+0+0) = 25% = 2 500 000UAH.

If 6 numbers matched by one player with wager amount of 3UAH and by two players with wager amount of 1UAH.
Prize amount of each of 1UAH wager players:
25%/(2+0+1) = 8,3% = 833 000UAH.
Prize amount of 3UAH wager player:
25%/(2+0+1) + 25%/(0+1) + 50%/(1) = 83,3% = 8 333 000UAH.
